It is with great pride that we move into 2023 able to open the Village Hall as a Warm Space for the community in Ribchester.

The Hall will be open to everyone between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm every Wednesday until further notice, starting from Wednesday 11th January 2023.

This initiative is made possible by the generosity of members of the Village Hall Committee as well as volunteers from across our community, who are willingly giving up their time to open and oversee the sessions, as well as offering an enthusiastic welcome, warm (or cold) refreshments, and a friendly ear. 

The Village Hall is lucky to have an 'always-on' ground-source heat pump for the winter months, meaning that our space is always warm. We are also hopeful of having Wi-Fi installed in early February, which will enable anyone who wishes to work - or just surf the web - to do so in comfort.

We are very grateful to be in receipt of a small grant from Lancashire County Council, supporting this activity and enabling the purchase of Wi-Fi and resources for children.

We still need volunteers willing to spare a couple of hours on a Wednesday and join our Warm Space rota.
